Volunteer TrainingAll of our training is delivered by a qualified NLP practitioner and trained facilitators. MAMAA trains all volunteers that work to support families or that take part in presenting our programmes. Anyone can apply to be a MAMAA volunteer, whether you have been affected by violent crime not.
Due to the sensitive nature of the work of MAMAA applications are subject to a selection process and CRB checks.
As well as learning about victim empathy and understanding, you will be trained to work within MAMAA policy and procedure, ensuring that the families we work with receive the highest level of support and care. In order to be a MAMAA volunteer you will need to be able to commit to a minimum of six hours per week, have a telephone line, computer and have basic computer and admin skills.
