On the same day that the vigil was held in Warrington, we had been invited to attend a rally to protest against crime in Plymouth.

At this meeting there were several Members of Parliament and Church dignitaries speaking, and who were making no impact on the thousands of people that were there. Brian Harris got up to speak about the horrific way in which his 10 year old son Timothy and his ex-wife Lesley had been brutally murdered, and about his endless fight for justice for them both. Brian made an enormous impact on all of us, and we knew then that we had to do something to help him and every other family that we possibly could.

In early 1997 we held a vigil in Hastings for Billie-Jo Jenkins who was murdered in her home.
Within a matter of weeks we were at Shepherds Bush Green to remember Katerina Konev a 12 year old Macedonian girl who had come to England with her family to escape the war. Katerina was also murdered in her own home… it would take until 2004 for her killer to be convicted for her murder.
