MAMAA became a registered charity and has since then worked...
- towards a safer, more tolerant and caring society
- with the Home Office and other organisations to educate and promote a better understanding of victims needs and to ensure that all families are treated equally and their individual requirements are met
- to reduce crime and campaign for tougher sentences for perpetrators of violent crime
- to educate future generations of the effects of violent crime
The main areas of developments have been:-
- The work undertaken on behalf of families bereaved by murder.
- Co-ordinating with other organisations, including MP’s, Police, Doctor’s, Coroners, Counsellors, Psychologists and Government Agencies
- Close liaison with other charities to ensure support systems are in place as soon as possible
